I got this Van as my first car
approximatly a year ago when I got my license. It was my dad's van.
He bought it brandnew in Dallas TX, in October 1985. Then in 1992
we eventually moved up to maryland. When he had just bought this
van, he used to save it and not drive it alot, because business
wasn't good. He used to drive his 1983 Corolla. So the van only
had about 50,000 miles after 7 Years before we moved down here in
Maryland. In Maryland while doing our Florist business where we
would deliver flowers, he still used his Corolla most of the time
when he did deliveries, he would use the van when we had a big Wedding
Planned to haul alot of flowers. Eventually in 1997 the Corolla's
Head gasket blue at 270,000 miles when it had very less coolant
in the resevior. At this time, the van had around 80,000 miles and
he started to use it every day, to do deliveries. That was the only
car we had at the time, and then eventually after 2 months my dad
bought a 1998 Lexus ES 300. He started to save the lexus and use
the van alot. Then eventually all of our employees used this van
when they would deliver flowers. Miles started Racking up and up
on it. We even went to texas 3 times after moving here to Maryland
in it, and there was no problems.
My dad started to let me use
this van about a year ago. To drive it to school, and help do some
deliveries at the florist. When I recieved it, it had 146,000, now
currently it has 165,000 and climbing. When I got the van all of
my friends used to make fun of it, until quickly they started to
like it, because it can fit alot of people in it. Now fortunatly
they love it. I have no complaints about this car, although I wish
my dad would have chosen manual over automatic when buying, because
Im trying to keep this car as long as possible, and Automatic seems
to be getting in my way. |
